The reverse elbow with connection for CO₂ or beer lines is a specially developed connecting element in beverage and dispensing technology. It is used to redirect flexible hoses or line systems cleanly and safely in tight installation situations – typically by 180 degrees – without risking kinks or mechanical stress on the lines.

This component is particularly useful when the line needs to be returned, rotated, or laid in a space-saving manner—for example, in cold rooms, counters, cleaning circuits, or on keg connections.

Function and design

The reverse elbow allows the line to be redirected by 180° without the hose kinking, bending, or being squashed. This not only optimizes the flow of gas or liquids, but also increases the service life of the connected hoses. At the same time, the deflection contributes to structured, safe, and tidy installation.

The component has a so-called neck, i.e. a cylindrical insertion zone that ensures a secure hold in the hose and can also serve as a contact surface in a seal or socket.

Important: The nominal width of the nozzle or connection must be precisely matched to the respective inner diameter of the hose. This is the only way to ensure a tension-free, secure, and tight connection.

Installation instructions

• The hose should be placed in warm water for a short time before connecting to make it more elastic.

• A suitable hose clamp is recommended to secure the connection.

• Ensure a correct fit – a nozzle that is too tight can damage the hose, while a nozzle that is too loose will cause leaks.
